In the field of motor manufacturing, there are two crafting methods for motor stator winding frames: skeleton and over-molding. Each of these two schemes has its unique advantages and application scenarios.
PART.1 Process Differences: Over-molding: the core is encapsulated with insulating material by injecting molten plastic particles into the core mold using an injection molding machine. After cooling, a fixed structure is formed to meet the insulation requirements of the motor. Skeleton: skeleton refers to the insulating material being molded into a skeleton using an injection molding machine, and the core is inserted between two skeletons to achieve the insulation purpose of the motor. PART.2 Advantages Comparison: 问 Over-molding: 答 Suitable for batch production of projects, and the product can meet the end-to-end requirements for automated mass production. Integrated molding, compact structure, excellent heat conduction effect. Provides good insulation performance and mechanical strength. Effective under pressure. 问 Skeleton: 答 1.The manufacturing process is relatively simple and the cost is low. 2.Easy to maintain and replace since the core and skeleton are separate. PART.3 Disadvantages comparison Over-molding: 1.Mold cost is relatively high, and the product cost is higher. 2.Once damaged, the entire component may need to be replaced, leading to high repair costs. Mechanical connections are not as stable and compact as injection-molded structures, especially in high-temperature or vibration environments. The insulation performance is not as good as over-molding, and the pressure resistance failure rate is relatively low. Requires more manual operation, production efficiency is relatively lower. Over-molding and skeleton have their own advantages, and the choice of which process depends on the specific application needs of the motor and the manufacturing cost considerations. The combination of the two can further improve the overall performance and reliability of the motor.
